Hurricane Dean

Hurricane Dean!

Morning of August 22nd i sent out the next email, about hurricane Dean.

This is a quick prayer request...as you might know about hurricane Dean.....after hitting Campeche got into the gulf of Mexico and is heading to the north of veracruz. The news guy say it will arrive around noon, today. My family lives there, mom and dad, brothers and sisters, in laws..... Pastor Juan, the church and the saints.....the place where i grew up.  I just hang up the phone with my mom...as i type, they are getting ready with water and extra food and they are also placing plywood on the windows and doors. They all are together doing this......(I wish i was there helping) My main concern is that the area where they live is surrounded by a river, lakes and the ocean. What this means is that the area would be floated after the hurricane......that would be bad......please  say a prayer in their favor and for all the people that lives in the area of Veracruz and Mataredonda.. Pray for protection over them. Thank you all very much!

PRAISE REPORT !  Afternoon of August 22nd
I just want to thank you all for your prayers! My familly and the church are ok, "hurricane Dean" hit very close though.....like 3-4 hours away of where my family lives.....  To be more exact  it did hit south of the city of Tuxpan, Veracruz in a small comunitty named  Tecolutla. My family is expecting a lot of rain, strong winds and some floated areas  due to the close of the lakes and the Panuco river. I spoke with them today several times, they did sound very good. Thank you one more time for your prayers. Of course the people of Tuxpan and the people by the montains will and need prayers as well.

PABLO VILLELA's HISTORY(61 years old)

Some day in June , I had just arrived home that night (11PM) after a long day of work….I needed a shower and sleep….I was very, very tired…. then Letty tells me "your friend Jonathan just called you, he has his father in law very sick at the hospital and wants you to visit with him" . To be honest, I just wanted to go to bed so I kind of heard in one ear "YOU ARE TIRED" and in the other ear "YOU MUST GO TO THE HOSPITAL" Then the phone rings again and there is Jonathan saying "The doctor said that PABLO is about to die, my wife is sad and crying and wanted to know if you can make it to the hospital" How in the world I was going to say no? YES I will be there……:)…...I felt GOD pushing me a bit. :) Anyway, I got ready and drove to the hospital. At first, the police officer would not allow me to enter all the way to PABLO's room. I just want to enter to pray for PABLO I said. No more than 3 people were allow in his room and well, finally he did let me in. PABLO was sick, very sick, his levels of sugar were very high and was told he had Diabetes. The first thing that I noticed when I entered his room….was that there were another 2 man laying in bed watching TV. The room was divided in 3 spaces by 2 curtains only ……..Anyway, when that men saw me they turned off the TV because they wanted to hear me speak to PABLO. "I though that was neat" I came close to where Pablo was and he barely spoke to me because he was very weak. I did pray the salvation prayer with him and then I did pray for healing. I also share a history of JESUS. He seemed very happy to hear, even though he was in bed at the hospital with a nurse checking on him. He also had his 2 daughters right in the same room helping him. After I spent some time with him I was about to leave the room BUT the other men stopped me and ask me for prayer too. That night was a great night, 3 souls gave their life to JESUS. The Lord took the tired I was and did help me in the hospital. A quick up date :PABLO didn't die, he is still alive up to today (August 28th). PRAISE GOD! I was a bit afraid because I heard once a history of a Pastor who was well know because all the time when he prayed for sick people next day the people would die. Well, our thoughts are not the same thoughts as GOD's neither our ways are his ways. To GOD be the glory and the honor. Amen!

"A Mission for his GLORY"

GOD brough us all together to work for him the week of April 1st-5th. The youth group from Johnson Ferry Baptist Church from Marietta, GA  with about 300 srtudents came to Matamoros to serve The Lord, A great group of translators from Matamoros and Tampico and Reynosa and Monterrey, a group of AIM local cooks, a group of the AIM staff. All of us doing God's work. The whole trip was splited into 3 sites. I was one of the site leaders and i helped with the logistics and organization and coordination of all the ministries happening at my site. I enjoyed so much being part of this trip, because i know we were doing it "FOR HIS GLORY" The diferent ministry teams were doing Door to Door ministry, visiting an orphanage, Built 21 homes for 21 poor families, doing sports evangelism, ministrying at the woman's prison and  also  doing prayer walk. The result was "301 souls responded to GOD" Praise GOD!

Adventures In "Martha Rita"

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:

Martha Rita is one of the many neighborhoods of Matamoros where GOD is doing great things through mission trips. This area was constructed 3 years ago, the people that live here are petty much young families that work in factories or big grocery stores. One of the guys that I met is Manuel (34) and his family. He is from south of Mexico but he moved to Matamoros to work and make money to provide for his family. Currently he owns a small grocery store in Martha Rita, he is married to Silvia and have one girl(12). Manuel has changed so much since the first time I met him. The way he used to talk or behave is not the same compared with this days. "

I feel God is helping me since I ask GOD for forgiveness" he says. All started when one day I went to buy some groceries at his store and I began a relationship with him, not many days later he told me: " Hey Enrique tu eres hermano verdad"? Which means Hey Enrique you are a brother right? (He really meant if I was a Christian) Which I replied yes! I am a Christian and we started to talk about the Lord. Little by little he returned to the Lord (He used to attended a church and was a motived Christian But something happened and he got away from God ). "I feel different" He says. My friends P.J. and J.J. came with a mission to do to Matamoros and I took them to meet Manuel. My friend P.J. spoke him and did minister to him and J.J. shared his testimony with him. Manuel was listening carefully to every word they were sharing. Yet, Manuel is still going through some issues, but I can see the difference in him. He is going through a process of healing and restoration and he is also about to make hard decisions in his life that will affect his future and his family's future. Pray that he makes the right decisions
